One of the South West’s leading family attractions is gearing up for one of its most significant years to date, with Pirates’ Plummet set to take the title of the region's tallest ride. Standing at an impressive 80ft high, it promises a dramatic free-fall experience that will redefine the park skyline.
A New Life for a Fan Favourite
Fans may recognise the hardware of the new attraction; the ride is the former Magma drop tower from Paultons Park. After being transported to Devon, the ride has been fully re-imagined and themed by the Crealy team to fit into the park's pirate-themed offerings.
The attraction is designed to bridge the gap between family fun and high-octane thrills, specifically targeting older children, teenagers, and adults. After being lifted 80ft into the air to enjoy panoramic views of the Devon countryside, riders will face a heart-stopping, gravity-defying plunge back to earth.
Exclusive Access for Annual Pass Holders
To celebrate the launch, Crealy is offering exclusive ride time for its Annual Pass holders. From the opening day on 3rd April through to 19th April, Pass Holders can enjoy the ride from 10:00 am to 11:00 am before it opens to day visitors at 11:00 am.

Pirates’ Plummet is just the first of two major additions for the park in 2026. Crealy has also teased the arrival of Rotor, which is billed as the South West’s first inverted ride, expected to open later in the summer.
