This year’s event delivers three brand-new shows, a fresh walkthrough, and the return of the hugely popular Enchanted Hollow: Trick or Treat with HARIBO & MAOAM. With a variety of characters, impressive costumes, and a vibrant autumnal atmosphere throughout the park, Chessington World of Adventures Resort continues to cement its reputation as one of the UK’s best family-friendly Halloween destinations.
Stone Watchers: Vampire's Lair (NEW)
New for 2025, Stone Watchers: Vampire’s Lair introduces an exciting extra layer of fright to Howl’o’ween. The concept—ancient gargoyle statues that spring to life when disturbed—is simple but highly effective. The use of live actors and lighting effects keeps guests on edge throughout the walkthrough, with the tension heightened by the “don’t make a sound” rule.
There are two daily sessions: one aimed at guests aged 7+, and a later, scarier version for those 10+. Even the earlier session includes quite a few startling moments, while the later session allows actors to get up close and fully embrace the scares. It’s an impressive new addition that manages to cater to both families and thrill-seekers.

Rising Flame: Shadows of the Tomb (NEW)
This fiery dance spectacular is one of the standout live shows of the event. Set amid the sands of an unearthed tomb, Rising Flame combines energetic choreography, dramatic fire effects, and Egyptian-inspired costuming to create an engaging performance that feels both theatrical and atmospheric. The show’s pacing keeps audiences hooked throughout, and the production values are notably high for a seasonal event. It’s a striking and welcome contrast to the park’s more light-hearted offerings.

Barnyard Boogie! (NEW)
Adding a dose of silly fun to the day, Barnyard Boogie! is a lively pop-up show featuring two straw-stuffed performers who bring infectious energy to Chessington’s lawn. Their musical antics invite all guests to join in the dancing, creating a light-hearted break from the scarier attractions. While it’s clearly designed for younger guests, the comedic performances make this enjoyable for families and adults alike.

Spelltacular! (NEW)
Rounding out the live entertainment lineup is Spelltacular!, a stage show filled with laughter, audience participation, and a touch of chaos. It centres on a group of trainee wizards trying to reverse a spell gone wrong, and the result is a humorous, interactive performance full of puns, magical effects, and physical comedy. It’s a great family-oriented addition that balances the more intense scares elsewhere in the park.

Enchanted Hollow: Trick or Treat with HARIBO & MAOAM
Returning for a third year, Enchanted Hollow remains the heart of Chessington's Howl’o’ween event. The underground town of mischievous critters is bursting with life, featuring detailed sets, atmospheric lighting, and a truly whimsical charm. The immersive design transports guests into a subterranean village where each doorway hides either a treat or a trick. The actors bring wonderful personality to the experience—some cheeky, others endearing—and the overall quality of the theming is among the best in the park.
While it’s an optional extra (£8 per person), Enchanted Hollow feels well worth the price for the level of interaction and sweet treats provided. It’s a perfect fit for families, yet enjoyable for all ages thanks to its attention to detail and humour.

The whole park has been really well decorated for Halloween, with hundreds of pumpkins, skeletons and spiders adorning the rides, attractions and many other areas. Together with some spooky lightning, smoke and music this provides a wonderful atmosphere. We are always impressed with the amount of effort that Chessington puts into this.
Howl'o'ween continues on 11th-12th and 18th October-2nd November 2025 at Chessington World of Adventures.
